French Oak Joiners Workbench

A restored French oak joiners workbench.

Discovered in an old woodworking workshop in the Loire Valley, western France and dating to approximately the late 19th century.

Superbly rustic and characterful with generations of wear.

A thick solid quarter sawn oak worktop with its original iron holdfast bench dog (removable).

The worktop also has a sunken shelf at the back with a handy tool/utensil holder running full width.

Full height wooden vice with iron handle in good working order.

Two under counter drawers with differing and individual character.

Base level full width planked storage shelf.

Wonderful grain detail and richness of colour throughout.

As solid and rustic as they come.

Lovingly restored and perfect for kitchen placement as a statement prep bench.
