A restored post office counter from Somerset, circa 1930.
Crafted largely from oak and originally part of a larger counter or sorting desk. Two generously deep drawers under a slide out shelf to one side and a sectional storage cupboard to the other. The cupboard still houses its original pigeonholes and sorting shelves.
Beautifully restored with a replacement top, back, skirt and sliding shelf.
Full of character and British postal history with a hundred stories of old. Rich in colour and wear. Perfect for placement as a shop counter, hospitality host station or even a statement kitchen island.
