Rustic French Elm Farmhouse Table

A beautifully original farm table, crafted from elm, found in Lille, northern France.

Circa 1800s and in 'as found' condition with the most superbly rustic character and finish.

Planked scrub table top with attractive spline joints.

Two frieze drawers to one side, one having its well-aged brass knob and the other with original lock and key. The key is satisfyingly simple yet decorative.

Tapered legs with well crafted foot extensions to the raise the height to standard level (done some years ago).

Weathered patina with surface wear commensurate with age.

Some minor historic worm activity and the odd touch of filler in its life.

Solid, sturdy and damage free.

Comfortably seats 8 people.

Well aged, well used, honest, charming, humble, and hugely endearing.
