Rectangular French Wall Mirror
A large rectangular wall mirror from the Limousin region of Central France and likely dated to the late 19th century.
Original glass plate with a good level of foxing through age that enhances its character without obscuring the visibility.
Gilt frame with flora and foliage decoration. Refinished with gilt paint and dark wax to bronze. Well textured with areas of the original gilt coming through. Some areas of loss to the decoration which have been lightly remoulded and colour matched to tidy.
Original back boards in sound condition.
With new fixings for portrait hanging, this mirror will look beautiful in any room or environment.
NB: the smaller of a near pair of mirrors currently available (see item TBR1615). These look super together.
