A matched pair of heavily weathered, rust-patinated cast iron pedestal plinths featuring classical relief detailing and flared bases.

Sourced from Central France and dating from the late 19th century.

Of square form with beautifully weathered character gained from decades of exposure to the elements. Heavy cast iron with a textured, aged orange and white rust and paint patina that shows substantial age.

High relief decoration of putti, fruiting swags and heraldic cartouches, on shaped plinth bases with Greek-key moulding.

No foundry marks are visible yet unquestionably produced by a high quality French foundry.

Superb decorative appeal that suits both interior and exterior placing.
