Pair of Cast-Iron Figural Garden Urns
A matching pair of Victorian cast-iron figural garden urns or jardinieres, English, circa 1870–1900.
In the classical revival taste, each modelled as a seated maiden supporting a campana-shaped planter. Cast for the country-house garden ornament trade in the mid to late 19th century and likely originating from an old estate, manor house, rectory, or walled garden.
Beautifully weathered patina gained from many decades of exposure to the elements.
Full of period character and would suit both interior or exterior placing.
Dimensions:
Height: 74cm
Bowl Diameter: 26.5cm
Max Width: 31cm
Origin: England
Circa: 1880
