A French painted dresser base from Paris, circa mid 19th century.
Crafted from cherry wood and in super original aged condition. Many historic layers of paint and varnish provide the most beautifully textured dark brown, almost ebonised patina.
Two drawers with decorative brass cup handles over a double door cupboard. The cupboard has a thick cherry mid-way shelf and planked oak base shelf. Original lock and key in working order.
Age old water marks and wear on the top add further character and history.
Lightly restored to retain its integrity.
