A 19th century 8ft solid oak monastic counter from France.

Originating and recently removed from a monastery in the Calvados region of Normandy, Northern France.

In tremendous original time-aged and untouched condition.

Beautifully worn counter top with good grain detail.

A single drawer to each end both having decoratively hand-turned wooden knobs.

Thick mid-way and low level shelves running the full width of the counter with great wear.

Panelled facade on reverse and ends offering an attractive appeal from all aspects, thus making for a delightful retail counter.

Character, colour, patina, condition and quality are all superb.

Solid and heavy.

No damage or repair apart from a minor loss to one lower corner trim that would go un-noticed.

A stunning and rare French antique beauty.
