French 18thC Shop Counter
A restored oak counter from the Loire Valley, France.
Originally an 18th century country house coffer that was later converted in to a statement shop counter.
Crafted from oak with a superb decoratively hand carved front aspect, a single drawer with vintage cup handle, a mid-way full width planked pine shelf and a further base level shelf.
The high relief carved panel is ecclesiastic in style with a pair of winged figures, four vertical columns and floral borders. It also has its original forged steel key hole plate.
Sympathetically restored to retain its marks of history and centuries of character.
A fantastic statement shop counter, hospitality desk or even kitchen island.
