English Oak Counter
A restored Devonshire oak counter, circa 1880s.
Starting life in the mid to late 19th century as a country coffer and later converted rather beautifully in to a shop counter.
Crafted from oak with hand carved front and side panels. Three under counter drawers with bronzed cup handles, a mid-way full width shelf and a further base level shelf.
Its oak counter top is satisfyingly rich in grain detail, colour and wear.
The decorative geometric panels are characteristic of Jacobean and Gothic Revival - inspired carvings and allow the counter to sit confidently in the centre of a room.
A fantastic statement shop counter, hospitality desk or even kitchen island.
