Original glass plate with some super light patches of foxing through age.
The frame is rich in detail with an urn crested arched top and high relief floral borders. Refinished with gilt paint and dark wax to bronze. Well textured with areas of the original gilt shining through. Some areas of loss to the decoration have been remoulded and colour matched to strengthen and tidy. The frame is stabilised and holds great character as a result.
Replacement back boards and fixings for portrait hanging.
